In March 1994 I decided to set aside $100 and donate $1 to each person who asked me for change in the streets of New York City. In return, I asked for the permission to take a picture. 81 of 100 people agreed. The portraits raise issues of shelter, nomadism, snapshot photography. human interaction, walking and the urban landscape. |
