Images of northern Californian suburbs are altered in such a way that only the outlines of housing and the fences and roads remain within them. Deprived of their substance, these buildings appear as empty shells. Their outlines become membranes between the inside and the outside. These lines in addition to the fences and roads are forming a web, suggesting the emergence of some kind of organism. Here I am raising questions about form and formlessness, emptiness and fullness, separation and connection. |
