This is a series of portraits of people I encountered in the streets of New York City. They all had approached me and asked me for "change." I gave each one of them a dollar bill and asked in return for their permission to take their portrait. These images present a new variation on the genre of street photography. The portraits are printed as postcards with the location and date of the encounters printed on the back, since these men and women are an intrinsic part of the cityscape to me. |
